Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy Massage is a very subtle ancient form of healing. Massage techniques, including applications for personal growth, emotional release, and balance of mind-body-spirit are used.
Each aromatherapy oil has a character and various ways to help to enhance the Mind and Body and in doing so can lift the Spirit too.
We stock a wide range of oils using Rose Geranium and Frankincense, to the rarer oils such as Myrtle and Angelica.
With over 20 years of experience in Aromatherapy, specialising in Aromatherapy for the heart, your story is treasured and your total wellbeing taking care of. This classic Aromatherapy Treatment, triggers the body's own healing process by using lymphatic massage and essential oils to stimulate the flow of blood and lymph fluid and Reflexology techniques on the feet to trigger the body's own healing. The aromas, most importantly, also act upon the emotional centre in the brain (the limbic system) which governs the way we feel.
A consultation is given, oils are then prescriptively blended for you. A minimum of 3 oils are selcted for you, a Top note, Heart note and Base note; they are then blended with a carrier oil. Oils are selected appertaining to the Mind, Body and effect on the skin. The therapeutic value of the oil will be considered, and the aroma. You will lie on the massage couch comforted with a light quilt and towels. A heated blanket and the whole body will be massaged using effleurage, petrissage, lymphatic drainage, and kneading. The treatment is complete with full facial massage and foot massage. You will turn from front to back.
The treatment is complete within 1 1/2 hours from consultation to massage.

Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is based on traditional Indian massage techniques. It involves work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp, and face using a variety of massage movements to relieve accumulated tension and stimulate circulation.
Head massage revitalises the whole body, rebalancing the energy flow to the body and creating a feeling of peace and well-being.
An excellent stress buster, both relaxing and uplifting, it is good for clearing the head and easing tense shoulders.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that’s mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as Muscle Strain.
It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue.
Deep tissue massage works to lengthen and relax deep tissue. This type of massage may help manage pain and increase a person’s range of motion.
Deep tissue massage may be a suitable option to treat sports injuries or chronic back pain.
It may also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.

Balinese Massage
Balinese Massage combines flowing massage techniques, acupressure and relaxing aromatherapy oils into one luxurious treatment.
Balinese Massage uses a deep pressure which is applied using body weight. It is designed to deeply relax tense muscle tissue in a way that is not painful for the client.
Effleurage - Flowing effleurage movements, both normal and reinforced, are applied with palms and forearms using a pressure that is heavier than normal. The result is release of tension in the muscle tissue. These techniques also stimulate lymph flow which will help to promote a healthy immune system.
Stretching - This treatment includes stretching along the energy lines of the body to free energy blocks and to loosen stiff joints.
Pressure point work - This has its basis in the eastern techniques of Acupressure (China) or Shiatsu (Japan). It is based on traditional Chinese medicine which states that there are 14 meridians in the body along which the body’s life force or ‘chi’ travels. Chinese medicine uses needles to stimulate the points. In Shiatsu the tsubos are stimulated using the pads of the fingers or thumbs, elbows or sometimes feet.
We will use finger or thumb tips to stimulate key pressure points to stimulate the client’s own healing process.All wrapped up in a cocoon or Aromatherapy oils such as Coconut Oil, Jasmin, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang or Rose oils.
